You then spend months teaching yourself the business side, or you pay again for a second course that covers what the first one skipped. The cheapest course is rarely the cheapest path to a working career.
What a fair price should include
Before you pay, ask for these in writing:
- A clear breakdown of training hours
- Whether you practice on real faces, not just mannequins
- A certificate, and ideally a signed reference
- What support you get after graduation
- Whether there is any help finding your first clients
If the academy cannot answer the last two clearly, you are buying a certificate, not a career.
Is a makeup course in Dubai worth it?
For a serious career, yes, with one condition. The course has to bridge the gap between learning and earning. Dubai has a strong market for bridal, Khaleeji glam, and VIP event work, and clients pay well. The artists who do well are the ones who learned the craft and the business together, then stepped into real bookings with support. A course that gives you all three is worth far more than its price.
